Göcek is the gulet sailing capital of the Turkish coast - a small, upscale marina town near Fethiye where the fleet of traditional wooden gulet yachts that cruise the Turquoise Coast (Blue Voyage) concentrates. The town of Göcek itself is compact and unhurried, with a waterfront promenade, good restaurants and boutique shops. The bay of Göcek is protected by a ring of forested islands (the 12 Islands circuit is the classic day trip) and the deep-water anchor points draw wealthy international yachters. Accommodation is weighted toward boutique properties and yacht charters rather than large resorts. Göcek is 28km from Dalaman Airport, making it one of the easiest resort towns on the coast to reach.

Best Areas to Stay in Göcek
Marina District is the heart of Göcek and the best base - the waterfront promenade, the gulet departure points, restaurants and the boutique shops are all here. The town is small enough that almost all accommodation is a short walk from the marina.
Hillside properties above the town offer views across the bay and a quieter atmosphere. These suit visitors with a car who prefer privacy over marina proximity.
Gulet aboard - for those doing the Blue Voyage circuit, the gulet itself is the accommodation. Most gulets operate from Göcek to Fethiye, Ölüdeniz, Bozburun and Marmaris.

Practical Booking Tips
Göcek’s season runs from May to October, with June through September at its busiest. The marina fills to capacity with international yachters in July and August - restaurant tables and berths both require advance booking. May and October are the best months for a quieter visit. Göcek is one of the best places in Türkiye to book a last-minute gulet cabin through the marina agencies, as gulets frequently have empty cabins they fill at reduced rates in the final days before departure.
