The Castle and History

Alanya has 15km of beach divided by the castle promontory into Kleopatra Beach (west, finer sand, more developed beach club scene) and Damlataş Beach (east, quieter). Kemer beaches are pebble and shingle in the main resort area, with individual hotel private sections developed for guests. Nightlife and Town Life
Alanya is a functioning town as well as a resort. The bar district runs from the harbour area inland. Alanya is livelier than Kemer at night — not Bodrum or Marmaris level, but with enough variety for a good evening out.
