Gallipoli is visited as a day trip from Çanakkale or as a multi-day stay on the peninsula itself. Eceabat, on the European (Gallipoli Peninsula) side, is a smaller town with the advantage of proximity: the main ANZAC memorials are 3–6km away, accessible by bicycle, taxi, or foot.

Eceabat vs Çanakkale logistics: The ferry from Çanakkale to Eceabat runs approximately every 30 minutes during the day (₺10–15, 25 minutes crossing). If visiting for a single day, staying in Çanakkale and taking the morning ferry is entirely workable.
