What Visitors Are Missing
The Antalya Archaeology Museum normally holds one of Turkey’s finest collections of Hellenistic and Roman statuary, including celebrated pieces from the Hall of Gods. If this collection was a primary reason for your visit to Antalya, it will not be accessible during 2026.
The Ethnography Museum, housed in a separate building within the same complex, may have limited access during certain periods - check locally before visiting, as partial openings can occur during longer renovation projects of this type.
What Remains Open
Antalya still offers substantial options for history-focused visitors. The old town Kaleiçi district - with its Hadrian’s Gate, Roman harbour, and Ottoman-era architecture - requires no museum entry.
